Course Description:
9 holes, Blue, 3020 yards, par 35
White, 2925 yards, par 36
(slope index of 123 & rating of 70.1 for men)
(slope index of 119 & rating of 73.8 for women)
The course starts with a 176 par-three, followed by par-four holes of 325(300)
and 405(375), then a par-five measuring 523(430). The fifth, at 211(150) yards,
is a par-three for men and a par-four or three for women before heading into the final
four holes, all par-fours, measuring 337(327), 379, 371, and 293(278).
Located close to the Manitoba Desert, the soil here is very sandy. This is
of particular benefit during heavy rains which have no trouble being absorbed by
the ground. Most fairways at Glenboro are fairly open, and the rough is
usually forgiving to errant drives. All but one of the course's 9 holes
have hills, with the result that uneven lies on the fairways are the norm
here. Glenboro's rolling greens are both challenging and interesting with
lots of break.
